MetroPCS Says “Get A Hint”

MetroPCS is truly on a roll these days, they’re expanding all over the east coast and their customer base is growing. To keep things rolling metroPCS is now offering the Motorola Hint (QA3). This is a big step for metroPCS, but traditionally their lineup of phones has been lack luster. I’m guessing if they want to stay in the game and grow they’ll need to have at least a few top notch phones in their lineup. The Hint is a slider phone with a full QWERTY keyboard. You can see more photos and specs at Motorola Hint.

The phone is going for $249. As you know metroPCS has a flat monthly rate and no contracts so the price of the phone is what it is. There’s always a give and take in the mobile phone world. I can already see that metroPCS is taking baby steps toward their goal of being a major provider. Way to go!

I picked your site out of the comments on 31 Day Problogger posts. Noticed that you spoke of having no comments (My problem as well) and visited. Actuall I need your site because I am ready to update my aging RAZR with a more capable phone and am struggling with how much I want (need) this phone to have.. and what I will use. I only did a brief look-around and found a comprehensive list of phones. You seem to list everything and you seem to show peurveygers of these phone unlocked.
Your site seems geared to tech savy phone users which I am not. I would like to find a better way to evaluate whether I would use and value certain features that I don’t currently have. I don’t understand the value of an unlocked phone. For exampler can I run an unlocked phone that is not currently supported by AT&T on my current AT&T account just by inserting my sim.
Surely it is more complicated than that and maybe you explain this somewhere that I did not find in my fist look around. Anyway there seems to be a great amount of valuable information there but I could use some help with it.
