So I was watching the Olympics last night as I’m sure many of you were. During one of the commercial breaks there was a commercial for AT&T. The commercial stated that you can watch the Olympics live via your cell phone if you’re an AT&T customer. I thought this was really interesting so I went to the AT&T website to find out more. Here’s what I found:
“Beginning Aug. 8, AT&T Mobile TV customers will be able to watch around-the-clock NBC coverage of the Olympics, including live competition footage, via the NBC Olympics 2Go mobile TV channel. AT&T Mobile TV is powered by MediaFLO USA and provides broadcast-quality television available on select AT&T handsets in 58 markets around the country. More information can be found at www.att.com/mobiletv. In addition, available today, AT&T’s wireless subscribers can access top stories, polls, photos and medal counts through the new NBC Olympics Mobile Web site through AT&T MEdia Net. This will include real-time results and event schedules during the Olympic Games. Customers can also sign up to receive breaking news alerts on their handsets from NBC through the Olympic Games, from medal results, athlete news and more.”
If you can’t get enough of the Olympics here’s your chance to watch them at work when nobody is looking. The only problem is currently there are only two phones that support AT&T Mobile TV. The phones are the LG VU and the Samsung Access. If you don’t have either of these phones you’re out of luck. You’ll just have to watch is on a regular TV like the rest of us.
